Re-booking is often the best alternative when ill. An intense massage will tax you considerably unless we switch to relaxation massage.
Masks?
Surgical masks mainly reduce the number of droplets a person coughs or sneezes straight out from themselves. I will not be wearing one. Unfortunately, there is the very real issue of side spray contamination with a forceful cough or sneeze into an ill fitting mask. Those beside you won't appreciate it if they are aware of this reality. Also, constantly touching a mask to adjust it without hand washing is a super spreader. Don't do it. Best to keep one's hands away from your face altogether while in public. The valve in some N95 masks can focus one's exhaled spray directly towards others. I especially do not recommend those. In most cases it's far better to simply sneeze or cough into your jacket, the neck of your shirt, or at the very least towards the floor. We also need to see one another's faces. It promotes a healthy society.
Holding your hands, or a fist, in front of your mouth, though often instinctive, simply sprays droplets and aerosol up, down and sideways. Surgical masks, and especially cloth masks, will allow the transmission of any aerosol virus. Talk to a PPE expert for accurate information concerning these things. I'm just sharing what I have gleaned over the years.
Medical masks were designed specifically to protect surgeons against splatter, though they were also created in the hope of preventing surgical wound infection (which effectiveness is now questionable, see link).
So, what is the best defense against viruses, in my personal opinion?
Dramatically reduce your stress by taking time for yourself realizing viruses have always existed. Turn off the doom and gloom news media and get to know your neighbours. Learn about all of the healthy natural ways you can boost your immune system. If your health professional won't tell you how to do this find one who will.
Exercise outside in the fresh air. Feel the earth with your bare feet every now and then and acknowledge how beautiful it all is. Get plenty of sleep and enjoy nature. Get some sunshine on your face. Admire the moon. Find balance in your life. Stop living in fear. Too many people have been doing so.
Whenever possible eat healthy food such as grass fed beef, and free range eggs. Stay away from processed foods, and especially any vegetables known for toxicity. Avoid sugars, preservatives and pesticides such as those in modern wheat bread and pasta. Reduce, if not completely eliminate, alcohol consumption. Use brown or white sugar only on special occasions. If a product's ingredient list can't be read in a second, steer clear of it. Often the main ingredient is sugar with multiple names that just mean another type of "sugar."
If possible get to know farmers who care about providing healthy food and will show you how they raise it or grow it. Replenish your living spaces with fresh air as often as possible. There are many things we can do for ourselves to improve our body's reaction to viruses.
A healthy immune system and occasional hand washing with a little soap goes a long, long way.
Peace.
